Code "P0500C" Means what?
10 pcm error code "P0500C" is the only code showing.
The tech chart doesn't show what the "C" represents.
And what exactly is "P0500 VSS Circuit (M/T)?" :seeya

I'm not sure what that code means (other than the code description you mentioned), but the "C" means it's current and still an active fault.
If it were an "H", that would mean History, and no longer showing a fault.

The VSS(vehicle speed sensor) is a plastic plug in type sensor on the tranny, there are two plugs which I know of that send MPH info to the computer. One works to display the HUD MPH, and the other goes to the acutal needle gauge. Are both of your speedos working? Do your fuel settings in the dash register properly? i have a few photos of where they are located if you'd like. The "C" means the code is current.

Don't have a HUD, speedo and fuel gauges work fine... :confused:
The Z is headed into the shop this week for another issue, I will have them take a look at the P0500 code also. I believe it should be covered by warrenty...

Yepper...deleted all codes....even disconnected the battery once...
Still P0500C....
Partition is great, separated the trunk junk from the passenger area and a little quieter...but with the Borla it's never quiet :flag
