Default TCS vs active handling

What is the difference between TCS and active handling? My 99 has a TCS button with the f45 button thats not needed. The 00-02 have active handling buttons and base shocks no sport comp touring ****. I was thinking of swapping the 00 active handling button if theyll interchange as i have base shocks. Would the active handling button switch interchange and simply just turn on/off TCS.
I was told you could hold the button for a few seconds to turn on active handing or competition mode is this only the ones with active handling and not pre-99 with TCS. I noticed i have the 1761 ride height sensor code under tcs-dic is that only equipped on models with f45 valved shocks as i dont see this ride height sensor on the 00 model with base shocks. If it is a reduced power tune change active handling comp mode does it alter the tune at all?
When i first bought my 99 with tcs on the car was real sensitive when i would hit bumps in the road, on ramps and kill the throttle "tcs active" displayed now after rebuilding the torque tube and having it tuned cam, headers with 295/35/18 tires i can spin it sideways and the traction control system not activate. Could this be because of the one right front ride height sensor code it has? C1761

Traction control prevents wheels from spinning. Active handling prevents your car from getting sideways.

Doesn't matter to me since none of it works. C1214 repaired once, came back a few years later and also a solenoid code.

What do you mean? Yours with TCS on or off doesnt function? What does that code mean?
Yes it would seem that my 99 car spins easily with the cam headers 350whp/tq auto 3.15 gears and the tcs doesnt come on or say " TCS ACTIVE" and kill the throttle as it did when i first purchased the car. I almost wish i didnt have the f45 suspension option as it has extra wires to the shock valves and the trunk module in the rear drivers side compartment. I do have base shocks and the original shock valves plugged in so it doesnt go into "reduced power mode". The front passenger right height sensor in the fender well is for the TCS or RTD or both? I have the C1761 for front passenger right height sensor but not sure why as its plugged in and everything appears normal. I did unplug it a few months ago when i removed the rack and pinion for the cam and balancer swap. Both the 00 and 02 didnt have the f45 suspension which looks cleaner less wires. So active handling with the sideways car imprint button on the 00-02 is the same as the 99 no name button picture with car sideways which turns on and off the tcs light or dash display.

What are guys using to delete the f45 suspension a tech 2 turn off f45 thru chassis and unplugging the rear trunk module? They have shock simulators for the f45 delete but they are real expensive. You would still have to find a place to mount the shock simulators in the wheel wells to keep it from going into "reduced power mode". Im still trying to figure out why i have the c1761 code i used qr electric cleaner to make sure the plug wasn't dirty and says to service the RTD which would turn off the dash display i turned f45 with a tech 2 and unplugged the rear trunk module would get rid of any RTD codes?
