Default Brakes auto engaging while testing off the ground

Hey everyone,
I just had my C5 rear end out from under it for a few weeks while messing with some clutch and master / slave cylinder stuff. I got everything reassembled tonight and while the car was still in the air I was just doing a quick test to make sure everything was working correctly. It goes into gear fine and all and the wheels start to spin but after a few seconds or giving it a little gas the brakes engage on their own.

Any idea what this could be? I'm kind of worried about putting it on the ground and trying to drive it with it doing that lol. I don't have any lights on the dash or anything to indicate anything is wrong with the abs or the traction control. I tried turning traction control off and it still did it. It is definitely the brakes engaging though and not something in the drivetrain binding, I'm sure of that. The only thing I can find that has any reference to anything even similar to this is the thing with the steering lock if going over 2mph (but those things seem to talk about the car stalling at that, not the brakes engaging). I would think if it were that though, there would be some indication on the dash (like the pull key and wait 10 seconds message, which I am not getting). Also, the car does already have a little lock out module under the steering wheel (not an LMC5, but something that from my understanding does the same job).

Thanks

Active handling engaging because front wheels are not even close to the speed of the rear wheels.

Weird, I really thought I had tried with this turned off earlier but I just went out and tried again, making sure the little light was on indicating it was off, and it seems to have worked. Speedometer read up to 10 mph, but I didn't push it past that. I must have pushed the button an extra time or something when I thought I tried it earlier.

I didn't even realize this car had front wheel speed sensors lol.

Thanks

Your configuration is exactly how you exercise the ABS and is a recommended procedure to keep the ABS module valves exercised since usually the ABS is never engaged. Don't think the front wheels have necessarily anything to do with what you're experiencing, just the differential in the rear wheel speeds (caused by the differential ??) will trigger the ABS to "push' the brakes on. Feel good - you've just done a recommended service on your ABS!! Ken
