Where in the beautiful Texas hill country are you located? I am in Ingram.
If you want to replace the hoses, do it. I bought my '04 in 2014 with 32K and now has 47K and according to my go to vette mechanic, the hoses are still very good. I had the belts changed and pulleys replaced when the HB was replaced 2 years ago. Although everyone has a different ideas on changing wear items, I do if the owners manual says to and if the expert mechanic recommends. JMHO.
My 1999 has original hoses, but new belts and all tensioner and idler pulleys replaced them September 2017, the belts looked pretty dry rotted and big cracks, was going on a road trip, and noticed doing inspection.
Replaced the pulleys just because someone here on CF said the grease in them probably dried up, I did put new grease in old ones, but someone else thought that they may act up now since I disturbed the grease and may have dust in them.
Also replaced the coolant recovery tank, it had a small crack where the vent hose nipple goes in tank.
I did replace a radiator hose clamp, signs of leak, crust, cleaned it up and new clamp and inspect no more leakage.
Saw on car wash thread you want to replace water pump also, if it’s not leaking out of weep hole, I would hold off, or if you do replace it save it for yourself or maybe someone else.
Original radiator, will replace when or if I find anything wrong.
