I've seen a lot of comments regarding the sun visors on the C5, however I can't find information on this specific question. The comments are confusing in that people use the term bezel incorrectly, I think. For me the sun visor installation has three components.
1. the sun visor itself
2. the plastic piece attached to the visor rod that goes into the windshield frame (this piece comes already affixed on a replacement visor). I call this the actuator. Call it anything you wish, but it's not the bezel.
3. the plastic piece that fits into the windshield frame to accommodate the actuator. This is the bezel.
My question is how to remove the bezel. It seems to be pressure fit into place, but I can't get it to budge. Has anyone removed one?
When I removed mine, the driver's side would not release. Had 2 beers, some bad words, and tackled the passengers side. Came off easily. That gave me the 'energy' with a few more and the driver's finally released.
