Been having problems with oil psi sending unit Going to zero for the past 2 months. It comes and goes. Sometimes days with no problem so we believe its a wire somewhere. Dont think its bad if it works for days at a time. ??? But how to check does car on not running to troubleshoot or car running and oil unit at zero psi to troubleshoot?? Now this just happened, oil psi sensor, cruise control and reverse lockout are all not working.
We troubleshoot the reverse lockout. Key on we get 12v from pink to ground and 12v from pink to green . We put 12v to solenoid and it works so that rules out bad solenoid. What to check. We looked up wire diag and we don't understand where c1 wire 44 is. On pcm there is no writing. How do we find c1 44?? And when we find it how do we troubleshoot?? We figured out that the PCM grounds the circuit??? Again if we add outside 12v the solenoid works.
Thx. How u gys understand. 1999 c5 stock.
This is another way to tell your sending unit took some LSD!!! OEM C5 sending units are junk. Buy a decent quality aftermarket sender. I bought a 1 year guaranteed sender from O'Reilly years ago, and it's still there, working fine. One bit of advice, that I did not do: Torque the sender to the correct torque value when doing the install.......
