The 2002 C-5 I bought is about to get a transformation and I wanted to get some real world opinions for my converter choice.
This is not a drag race car. Everything for this car is primarily centered around spirited driving the Appalachian mountain area. I may try a couple Autocross events and nexts years power tours
All of the parts have been purchased aside from the converter as follows
3.90 Gear
TSP 228R cam with their PRC stage 2.5 CNC heads
Long Tubes X pipe
Ported TB with the LS6 intake that is stock on my model year. I’ll be tuning with HP tuners
Since I’m running such a steep gear I was leaning towards something from 2200-2500.
I’m also looking for something that’s more on the budget side and off the shelf in stock
I got a great deal on the car and I’m not looking to make this a money pit as I’ve been down that road many times.

General or specific brand advice would be great
My .02=2,800-3,000 stall Yank. I've been running a 3,200 stall Yank for 17 years, never any problem. Get the converter with the highest stall ratio, which makes the converter "feel" tighter, although a 3.90 gear will make it feel close to stock. You'll need a tune, of course.......
I wouldn’t have thought 3000 would be the number but it gives me something to think about. I guess I’ll give Yank a call on Monday.
I hope they don’t have crazy lead times

I hope not, too, for your sake. If they do, it'll still be worth waiting for.........
