A local dealer has a C5 with a couple codes that they are not able to bring to a Chevy dealer to have looked at. I have attached the code sheet to this.
1) The guy claimed all the codes in the history were from a bad battery, I already inspected the battery compartment and there isn't any leakage.
2) What does this mean (The errors were P0102 AND P1571, the guy said P0102 was from the aftermarket cold air intake, which does seem to hold water)
Current DTC
Last Test: Not Ran
Since cleared: passed & failed History
While i was testing it I ran the codes manually through the dash and there were NO codes that didn't have the H for history on the end
I want this car, does anyone see this as a deal breaker? it is IMMACULATE, outside, in, and underneath.
I’ll occasionally get the P1571 but it’s usually history and I’ll just clear it…might not come back for months…without a good scan tool that can look at live data or a scope it’s only a guess to diagnose this…the 0102 may be from the aftermarket intake but it can be a bad MAF sensor, it’s wiring or a dirty throttle body and again without a scan tool it’s only a guess…the PCM is looking at the MAF frequency and it expects to see anywhere from 2000-12000 Hz…if below 10 Hz for more than 1.2 seconds the DTC sets.I’m moving this thread over to the Tech section.
