I am wondering if anyone has or had a concern with an engine cut out on cold start. Happened twice. Both times eng went dead and a dash message "remove key for 10 seconds and restart". It does restart, but I wonder, does something need attention?
thanks, Ed
Did the engine die when in gear and moving forward ??...or just die in neutral ??...I see you're in PC...if you'd like to bring it down to the Cape I'd be happy to look at it for you. This can sometimes be a weak battery that will give you this message...an LMC5 purchased from Amazon will normally cure this...also try another key or clean the pellet on the key you have been using with alcohol.

As above, this has nothing to do with the gear or movement back and forth. What is happening is that the cars anti theft system cuts the engine off at 2 mph.
Get yourself the LCM5 and do the install. Pretty straight forward and 30 minutes. The system overrides the antitheft system and unlocks the steering wheel. Best $45 dollars you will ever spend. Also, do the brown wire mod.
