Just purchased the vette last Friday. Already had the “pleasure” of changing the right front turn signal Saturday. Now today, the right and left turn signals are intermittent as well as the emergency lights. Any help greatly appreciated
It is usually the flasher switch in the dashboard. Exercising it a bunch of times may help for while, but usually ultimately needs to be replaced. Probably a post on the forum on how to do it, shop did mine.
Another option if your turns signals don't work but you hazard lights do work, is to buy a "hyperflash harness" which takes control of the turn signals away from the hazard switch.
There are YouTube videos about replacing the dashboard emergency flasher switch. Yes, the turn signal flasher is in that switch. It's not hard to do and the part is very reasonable. After watching all of the videos, here's a tip, attach string to the old switch BEFORE knocking it out of the dash. This way, you can use the string to pull the new switch into place. Then all you have to do is grab it with suitable pliers to snap it into place. Whatever you do, don't forget to transfer the wiring harness to thenew switch BEFORE pulling it into place. Good luck.
