Default Catch can install questions

I have some concerns about an install that my mechanic just finished, specifically about the way in which he routed the three port RXP catch can. After completing the entire heads/cam/intake build (TrickFlow 215, CamMotion Titan 4, FAST 102) the tuner came and spent an hour or so struggling to get the car to idle properly after high rpm’s. After a test drive, he pulled the car back into the garage and continued his tuning. One more trip out for a drive and I noticed a puddle of oil on the ground, maybe six ounces or so. Upon his return, I quickly looked under the hood and saw oil sputtering OUT of the dipstick tube, past the dipstick. An investigation ensued and it was believed that the catch can was installed improperly. There’s three ports, and to rectify the problem, one of the ports is now OPEN and one hose from I believe one of the valve covers is now capped off.
The more concerning thing is that the LOW OIL warning came on, not the low oil pressure, but low oil. Considering we just installed an Improved Racing oil cooler with two quart capacity, someone we had “lost” over three quarts of oil!!!!! There wasn’t anywhere near three quarts on the ground, only a small puddle. Is it possible that a massive amount of oil was vacuumed into the motor? It didn’t appear to be smoking at all, just losing a huge amount of oil, somewhere. Question is, where. I’ve also lost some confidence in them and want to get that catch can installed properly. That can’t be the way it’s done as it sits now; one port open and one hose from the valve cover plugged off. Please advise! Thanks

This is how they “fixed” the problem, as it currently sits in the shop waiting for the tuner to come back today. I can’t imagine how this is fixed! There’s no valve cover ventilation that I can see, as it’s now been plugged with a bolt. Would really appreciate any advice on how this can is properly plumbed! The thought that three quarts of oil sprayed out near hot headers gives me nightmares. Thinking we only saw a small fraction of the leak in the garage as it wasn’t under prolonged deceleration and crankcase pressure/vacuum like when the tuner was actually road tuning it. Cringing, still.

Here are the basic diagrams to follow. Does your valley cover have a PCV orifice? Where does the hose run on the drivers side? valve cover?
The hose with the bolt needs to be plumbed into intake, after MAF for clean air.
