Crankshaft position sensor change with headers

How hard is it to change the crankshaft position sensor with long tube headers in the way, does the header need to be removed?

IIRC the starter's square in the way.

Why is the sensor being changed ??…if it needs to be changed stick to an OEM sensor.

I think you remember correctly!! To the OP; I dont know if your brand of header requires removal, or not. But I'm pretty sure virtually every brand would have to be removed to drop the starter.......

I have a mini-starter on mine with long tube, and there's no way on the green earth that I could drop the starter without taking off the header.

When I did mine, I had to unbolt the header I did not have to remove it completely.
I had to unbolt the starter to access the Crankshaft sensor.
Mine was acting up when it got very hot. Replaced it several years ago.
