Hey guys, the drivers side **** for my C5 automatic climate control will not adjust temp up and down. Turning the **** will move the temp display only one degree up or down. Also, the off button doesn't seem to want to work every time either. I am a repair tech by trade but am not fully skilled with electronic troubleshooting. I had the unit out and apart. All solder joints were thoroughly inspected and confirmed okay. The dial control itself tests good and is okay. That control rotates between three positions that completes one of three circuits as it revolves around and around. I believe that a diode or resistor may be bad but don't want to start desoldering random connected circuit parts for testing. I believe it's an easy fix if the bad component can be identified. Anybody else had this same issue? Thanks!

Reason: clarification
Thank you for such a quick reply. I'm new to this forum and it's my first forum experience of any kind. Hope to be of help for other C5 owners. Blend doors/actuators are working. Definitely a head unit issue. Most likely a $2 electronic component (resistor, diode, etc.). Don't have $600+ to spend on a used part.
Has anyone ever troubleshot and repaired such a problem?
You may want to contact Travis at Vettetronics. He can rebuild, in most cases, your head unit. I believe he has a supply of "bad" units in stock, and can make a good one out of several bad ones, if that makes sense. Did a Hell of a job on mine.
His address is:
820 Logan St.
Alton, Illinois
62002
Phone# is: (618) 975-3607. He knows his way around these units pretty well. Best of luck to you.......
