There are many different aftermarket regulators available from the various online parts suppliers. The last one I bought from Rock Auto was an OEM AC Delco part, which is no longer available. Is there any particular aftermarket brand that is recommended, ie, Dorman, WAI Global, or which site you have bought from?

I just had my driver side fail after 5 months. I bought a cheap one from Amazon (YHTAUTO brand) in May and it failed last week. I replace my passenger side with Dorman two years ago and it’s still running strong. Napa Online wanted $90 for a Dorman (part #748-472) and I found the same part number on Amazon for $57. I hope that helps.
Used Dorman previously. perfect fit lasted for years in a Jeep. Just received my Dorman for my C5 today for $54 Amazon. I’m cramming youtube install vids to prepare to do it, doesn’t look toooo hard. I hate doors!
Got it in, much easier than expected though it's a fussy job. The bad news, the Dorman makes a whining noise when it operates, my other door window barely makes a sound. I'd have been glad to pay more for a quiet product. Ah well. You might consider putting some sort of sound barrier wrapping around the motor before installing, might help, not sure.
Just got my driver side Dorman regulator installed, fit perfect and works like a champ, fast up and down and quiet. I took photos of every step - I watched several YouTubes that were good but almost all lack some very helpful details that my posting (soon) will include.
But I see my inner window seals at the top of the door are dried up and falling apart and should be replaced.
Here's two sources I found, $30 difference in price for the pair, anyone have experience with these? I do tend to trust Corvette America, and that's worth $30 easily. But.

Just ordered WAI GLOBAL unit from RA, for the right door, as Dorman was not a choice. We'll see how it goes... I'll report back.

The new window regulator installation was pretty straightforward. U-Tube videos were extremely helpful, to the point where it felt like I'd done it before!
One problem that I did find was that the "drip seal panel" inside the door had completely dried out and crumbled. Anyone have a suggested source of supply?
