Default Bilstein shocks on Z51

So now my Google-fu is a little fuzzy. Did the Z51 cars come from the factory with Bilstein shocks or some other brand? My '04 CE has Bilsteins, and I'm just trying to figure out if they're factory or if they may have been changed.

Bilstein shocks are a popular replacement when the factory shocks go bad because they carry a lifetime warranty.

Just pulled my original z51 shocks. Looks just like oem gm parts. I replaced with c6 shocks and they looked almost identical just different color stickers

I asked the question because I just received a set of DRM valved Bilsteins and then remembered and reconfirmed that my car already has Bilsteins on it. So how much better are the DRMs? Again, I have a Z51, and I also have a set of C6Z sway bars to install.

No Bilstein shocks from the factory. The ones on your car could be B6, B8, DRM, etc, so we can't really answer that for you. Best bet is to pull the p/n from your existing shocks and Google them to see what you have. And depending on age/usage, we can't tell you if those shocks have seen better days or not.
