You will have to plum a pressure gauge to determine if your car does indeed have low oil pressure, or go ahead and replace the oil pressure sending unit and see if that is causing the low oil pressure reading.
WHAT is the oil pressure- cold and hot idle, cold and hot 2,000 RPM?
I agree. OP needs to provide a bit more info. To the OP: Define "low." Could be the sender if the engine isn't making obtuse noises. Happened to me....

I plumbed my OPS to have a gauge in line and it runs 3-4 lbs higher than my DIC numbers. Thinking the gauge might be wrong I installed another gauge in its place and the results were the same 3-4 lbs. My 27lbs hot OIL pressure showed 30-31 on the gauges.
Get a decent aftermarket sender. I usually like to stick with OEM replacement parts for stuff like this. But its obvious the OEM oil sender isnt all that good. I bought a cheaper, non lifetime warranted sender (one year warranty) at O'Reilly 6 or more years back, and it's still there.....
^^ Very common mod, I also did this to mine. Not only can one see the actual pressure it also makes changing the sensor a quick job seeing the manifold does not have to be removed.
