engine sounds like it's tripping every few revs
Hi all,
I noticed my engine sounds like it "trips" every few revs or so. I have done the PCV mod with the compressor filter and have a little bit in there with the filter a light brownish tint. Is this restricting the PCV enough to screw up the idle? Are my plugs bad? Coil pack bad? Damn, now that I noticed it, it is driving me batty!

Is this a new problem? Mine has always felt like it misses every few seconds at idle, and I have noticed this on several other cars as well. Is that what you're experiencing?

Thge early years ('97, '98) have what seems like a slight stumble in the idle and that is normal.
A minor change (different plugs?) was made in '99 to improve the idle, but I think they all have some slight lumpiness in the idle.
Do you know that your idle has changed from before you did the PVC mod? :cheers:
