Getting a po335 I looked it up said it’s cps question is can that sensor make your car run and die sometimes start sometime crank then stop or could it be the pcm itself car is a 98 6 speed thanks in advance
A P0335 is a CKP issue…CPS is cam sensor…yes, a faulty one will cause the car to die or cause a crank no start condition…best to replace with an OEM sensor and you can hope that fixes it but always a good idea to check the wiring first…it is a 3 wire Hall Effect Sensor…a 12 volt reference, a signal to the PCM, and a sensor ground…if the Tach does not move during cranking that points towards the crank sensor. If you have a scan tool you can watch the RPM data PID during cranking…you’ll see about 150 RPM or so.
I'd like to add that if you replace or disturb the CKP sensor a crankshaft position sensor relearn procedure will need to be performed with a Tech2 or aftermarket scan tool with that capability. The engine will still start and run.

I did see that yesterday some say yes and some say no but if I get it running I’ll take it to the dealership for the relearn

yes I meant crankshaft I did order a ac delco if you guys thought it was it ,now the fun taking the header and starter off ,thank you
It is a simple procedure and takes 2 minutes to accomplish…I wouldn’t worry to much about if a shop can do it or not…this test is performed on MANY different cars…just call the shop and ask if they can perform a crankshaft variation relearn.
