Just recently had one installed on my 03 Z06, Carb legal version.

Kit was 6k + tax and shipping, so about $6600
Had it installed by Edwin at Power House Racing in Lancaster CA for $1500 (He also did a bunch of other stuff to my car while it was there, but he charged me $1500 to install the A&A kit, just for reference A&A themselves wanted $2500 to install and tune their kit)
Then had A&A dyno tune it for $550
So total was about $8650, and that doesn't include any of the other supporting mods I did (valve springs, CHE trunion kit, McLeod RXT clutch with all new clutch hydraulics, MGW shifter, ECS trans/dif brace, Better tires)

Car made 570rwhp/510rwtq on A&A's dyno, 91 octane, no headers, basically stock motor.

Whatever you do, whatever mods you go with, since you live in California, I'd ask the company doing the mods/selling the parts, to put in writing on the sales receipt the following statement: The modifications on this receipt, for this xxxx C5 Corvette, are legal for use on all public roads in the state of California. Cover thy ***, as NOBODY else will. My .02....

I'd also add that a C5 Z06, with a mild cam and good driver, should easily crack the 11 second barrier, as in 11.75, or better. These cars are light, have very good heads even in OEM, unported condition, and fast, even stock. Check out the C5 Z06 fast list for stock Z06's. There are bone stockers that have run high 11s

Wow what a great response thanks. I'm kind of stuck on the C5 as I think it ie the last of the sexy body styles.
To clarify: My Z06 is almost stock, short shifter, bola muffler comp cam rev kit (ovel valve springs and titanium push rods and keepers leaving my stock cam) and diablo tune.
(As many know Z06 with higher lift and higher rev limit were prone to breaking valve springs) so far diablo tune has passed with out question. We will see if it still passes next smog check.
I am satisfied with the Z06 performance so I will keep it the same. It has low miles and has doubled in value since I bought it so I would like to purchase a second corvette to keep the Z06 miles low.
As for the additional corvette a convertible with auto trans is preferred. I drove a 6 speed non Z06 and it felt it had sub par performance to th Z06.
I thought with 3:42 gears , a TCI trans shift tune might up the grunt equal to the stock Z06. That may be enough and if not then add a CARB legal supercharger.
Stock auto trans is just not snappy enough if you know what I mean. If 3:42 gears and trans shift kit will soon be outlawed then maybe a 6 speed with supercharger may be only option available.
Talked to a corvette shop last night who recommended 2001+ model year. not sure of difference between 2000 and 2001??.
So 2 question remain: Should I expand my search down to the year 2000 and what is the certainty of outlawing 3:42 rear and trans tune???
