While on a Corvette run with several club members yesterday, I suddenly get a Service Tire Moniter System pop up on my DIC.
I know my tire pressures are good as I checked them the night before the run, but I checked them thru the DIC and all 4 tires are
showing XXX,
Pulled the codes when I got home and I get RFA codes 2100,2105,2110,2115. These are the codes for TPMS sensor malfunction.
My sensors were all replaced when putting on new wheels about 7 years ago.
What are the odds that all four sensors died at the same time? Or is this possibly a receiver issue?
The remote works as it should, so not sure it could be the receiver. This is on an 02
Any thoughts?
You can get about 10 years max, from the date of manufacture. I'd take it to a shop that has a tpms diagnostic tool and have them check the sensors. It will at least help you narrow it down.
7 Years is about average of what I have gotten out of TPMS sensors.
I replaced the ones in the Vette last month and I just replaced the ones in my wife's 2015 Acadia this past week. Same message on the dash.
