Brakes

is there a larger rotor available in say C6 brakes?
mn6 base coupe.
thanks

C6 Z51 have 0.5" larger front rotors and 1" larger rear rotors. They use the same calipers in front with a bracket to offset them more to clear the larger rotor. The Rear calipers have a different bracket as well as a smaller piston to maintain proper bias with the larger increase in rotor size.
C6 Z06 use 1" larger front rotors and 1.4" larger rear rotors and completely different calipers front and rear.
If you want to get larger rotors on the front, just look for C6 Z51 caliper brackets and use your existing caliper with the 13.4" rotors.
May I ask why you want the larger rotor? The 0.5" increase is negligible and wont really get you anything other than harder to find rotors. Its such a low production oddball size most of the good performance rotor companies dont carry them.

the thing i noticed the most is a longer wearing pad, more even wearing pad, more even stops,
and probably due to the pad i have on it, good cold braking.
i bought the Z51 pads with the idea of more pad area, and with the enhanced area of braking surface, i anticipate noticeable brake enhancement.
i did not realize the Z51 totor is larger in diameter until i went to install them, and the pad is hanging off the rotor by a quarter inch.
that would suggest a half inch diameter larger rotor would work fine.
my car uses 4 18”
rear wheels from a couple 2002 C5’s so larger rotors is not a problem.
if the rotor touches the caliper, i can just make new adapter plates with the mounting holes 1/8” to 1/4” farther out.
tires are all 275/40/18

when i get new rotors, will take pics, so you can see the problem.
for now, tapered the edge of the old brake pads with a coarse file so they don’t wear over the edge of the old rotors

what i was looking for with the Z51 rotors installed using C5 abutment brackets and C5 calipers
