Default Climate control display

The climate control display screen of my 2003 C5 is blank. The appropriate fuse is not identified in the owner manual. I don’t know if it’s the fuse or the bulb. Can anyone help?

Welcome to the Forum!
Bummer about the climate control. I would recommend asking your question in the C5 Tech section which will get your question in front of the experts there. This is more of a general “hello” section.
When you ask the question, please include a little more info that could help you receive better answers. Did the screen just go blank? Is the climate control working but just not showing the display info? Do you have any codes related to hvac on your DIC? Additional info like that will help greatly.
Best wishes for an easy fix.
(Could be fuse 27 but, again, more info is needed).

Does the unit work other than just the display?

There is no bulb, what generally happens is the surface mount resistors were not solder correctly and they tend to lift of the PC board. I pulled my climate control and retouched and added a small amount of solder to those resistors.

Yes, this worked for me, too. But I still had some bulbs burned out that needed changing. The display itself has LED's, correct?

No, they're bulbs that can be changed out for LEDs. The display itself is a LCD.

^^VFD. The buttons are lit by bulbs that can be replaced by LED but the display is VFD.

The VFD doesn't fail but the soldering will need to be redone. While you are in there you can replace any bulbs with new bulb or LED.

There is another youtube on changing the bulbs.

You can see what I wound up with: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1605446007

Are you 100% on LCDs? I was under the impression LCDs freeze in cold climates. In Michigan, we see -20°F in some Winters......

One option is a repair from here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/133811755346
I've seen a write-up on dismantling the unit but can't seem to locate it at the moment.

Fixed mine today. Super simple. You don’t have to be a soldering pro to do this.
