Default C5Z06 - Using C7 OEM Battery Charger Question

Guys,

New to the C5 Z06 world but not new to vettes (have a c7 and had a c7 in the past). Winter is right around the corner and I have two of the OEM chargers that come with the C7 corvette which plug into a 12V cigarette lighter. In the C7 they have a port in the trunk that you can use to plug in the chargers.

Now my question is, does anyone know if the charger that came with my C7s would also work on the C5? Has anyone successfully used it to maintain/charge their C5 batteries over winter? I have a 2002 C5 Z06. Wondering if the cigarette lighter charger option would work with these. I figured I'd have to use the one on the dash since there isn't an extra port in the trunk area.

Any help would be welcome

I believe the chargers Chevy offers for the C7 are made by CTEK. I have several of the CTEK 7002 model that has different interchangeable battery ends/connectors. I use one for my C7 Z06 with the cigarette lighter connector and another for my C5 Z06 with the alligator clip connector. I think that's similar to or the same model from Chevy, check to see if it has the clip-together/replaceable battery end. If so you can buy the alligator clip version directly from CTEK or via Amazon.
