Just got a reduced engine power code on my 2004 c5 corvette took it in was told , bad throttle body , looked around for that part can’t seem to find it any help ?
who told you that you need a new tb ??…what trouble codes are you seeing ??
p2101
I had took it to a mechanic first because I was having car dying issues , changed battery and still had problem mechanic changed my alternator and that’s when everything went all bad , the reduced engine code started to pop out and said it was tb but I knew it couldn’t be that , car runs rough rn , live and learn lol I try to reset the code to see if it goes away for a bit but it just permanently stays on it’ll erase then pop back up in a sec

99.9% of “mechanics” are not diagnosticians…first mistake !!…car dying could be a a fuel delivery issue or even a crank sensor…the 2101 is the PCM is not seeing the correct values between the commanded and actual throttle position…don’t know how your tech figured this out but you should find yourself a diagnostic or auto electric shop and take it there…can’t diagnose this over the internet unfortunately without a scan tool and a scope.
