Hey all! I have a quick question that I hope someone can help with. I just replaced the stock stereo in my C5 with a double din setup. I bought it from Crutchfield and had them make the harness as well so the install when pretty easy. I got it all back together looking good and went to start the car and it wont start. It has some power because there is a clicking sound coming from the front and the headlights came up a little and stayed there. I played a little and got the clicking to stop but still dead as a doornail. Any ideas?? Thanks for any...
Yea just looked in the Owners manual and this is not what is happening. Not sure what is but the car has no power wont start cant open the gas or rear door, so there is something else going on. It started when I parked it and now nothing. weird.

Reason: adding
Dead battery. If you were playing around with the radio with the car not running your battery could have been drained. Was the clicking coming from the starter ?

I did unhook the battery while I was disassembling the car, and no it was not the starter. Sounded like it had something to do with the headlights. It was up front
That's a discharged battery, could be totally unrelated to install, maybe something in install is drawing the battery down, maybe the battery just got weaker and died. Charge the battery and it should start fine. If it dies again, you'll need to troubleshoot. I'd start with disconnecting the power to the new system, but probably not necessary.

I put my fleet charger on the battery and after a few moments it started right up so that part of the problem is solved but now there is part 2. It did not stay running. The car starts right up and shuts right down. Any ideas? Im going out to check the fuses to see if any of them are burnt but other than that not sure what to check next.
You were right but now i have a different problem.
