Default EBCM - 6 years after initial Soldering

  • Fixed the EBCM 6 years ago by soldering 5 spots.
  • Current message: Active Handling; Service vehicle soon; followed by the active handling orange traction icon on the dash
  • Pulled out the module as before and resoldered and reassembled module on the car
  • After driving a few miles when brakes were applied, at 60 MPH, felt the car pull to the left from the rear. Could feel the car pull and straighten up.
  • Same message as above and the light lit up.
  • Is it possible that it is the wheel sensor?
  • Any suggestions are appreciated !!!
Thank you in advance.

Checked for stored codes...that's always the first step.

Please see codes from the DIC attached. There were no codes registered on the OBD readings.

C1287 and C1288 are STEERING SENSOR RATE MALFUNCTION and STEERING POSITION CIRCUIT. Both history.

Start over by clearing all codes and see what comes up next start and run by checking before engine shutdown.

No codes after clearing the codes and short drive at normal street speeds or the pull as described above. Will test it at highway speeds later this weekend.
