Suggest considering: 1. How many miles do you drive the C5 in a year? 2. Do you tract the car? 3. Do you drive any winter snow driving? 4. Do you liker a hard ride or a comfort ride? 5. Is the car a DD or fun car?
Here is what my check list when I buy tires for the C5: 1::less then 1500 miles, 2:. no, 3:: no but will drive when streets are clear of ice/snow/salt; 4::reasonably soft; 5::Fun car.
I will be replacing my 6 year old tires sometime in 2023. that were bought in 2016 now with only 15K on them.
Based on my driving habits, I will look for the cheapest tire that will give me a comfortable ride with reasonable traction.
My tires look good but were purchased in 2007. Michelin run flats. Would like to put new run flats on her. Any suggestions ?
You may be out of luck, if you want RFs. It seems that Michelin is the only manufacturer that does/did make RFs for any length of time. When I'm "window shopping" tires, I sometimes check for RFs because I'm not fond of driving without a spare tire in the trunk or a RF on the wheels of my C5. From what I've seen, it appears that the availability of Michelin RFs comes and goes, almost as if they make them in batches, once or twice a year, so dealers having them in stock, also come and go......
