Drivers side headlight door not opening

Drivers side headlight door not opening
My drivers side headlight door isn't opening. The motor is turning but the door doesn't open. Has anyone else had this problem and what was the fix? This is one of the reasons why I hope the C6 will have fixed headlights.

I haven't had the problem with my Vette, but I would manually open the headlight with the **** and then look to see if there is some linkage broken or another part. ;)

The manual headlight **** turns freely but does not raise the door. I guess I will tear it apart to look for a stripped component. I gotta get this thing working for that Daytona trip!

You have to rotate that **** a LOT to get it to open. My '01 had the same problem about 2 months ago, I opened it manually, turned the lights on and off and they have worked fine ever since.

My left side did that, I think this may be a future wear problem, I've seen 2 others since. I took mine apart and the plastic gear inside was worn out, I robbed the piece from an old H/L motor that was damaged in a wreck a friend of mine gave me.
