Just did my first MOD (blackwing) and the difference from stock is very noticeable, and it will only take 10 minutes to go back to stock. Is there any benefit from removing the fog light intake covers?
Second, that Blackwing swap out is quick isn't it?
Third, I don't know , I would think so, most people either buy the fillers for/from Z06's, which have holes drilled in them, some people drill their own.
it might look a little too ..."stripped" if you removed all together although you would get more air.
Glad to be here, the wealth of information from members is great. the Blakwing swap out is a breeze, and the low and mid-range pickup gains are great. I think I'll just get a 1 inch bit and drill a few "clean holes" nect to the fog lights. Thanks
At Xtreme M.Sports always our 1st suggestion. Now you will never get more "bang for the buck"The closest you will come is the Volant air bribge about 75% of what B Wing gave tou for only 16995(70% off MSRP)and B&M shifter makes it feel like new car for 175.00 or you can get the Hurst same orice both around(279.00 MSRP).
I would suggest these 2 mods1/10th second shifter and another 2/10's with BW and Volant tother.
The Black Wing gives instant off Idle throttle response the Volant will carry that responce all the way to red line so I'm being conservative in my gueestmates and just the volant B.Wing could be good for 1/2 second.Dave S.Xtreme Motorsports.Call us 1st or last for loewst prices on forum.480-517-4969,Dave or Mike
I completely removed my fog light grills and in all honesty, you can't tell unless you get down there and look. My plan was to just drill some holes in them, but once I had them out I left it that way. Besides, I can always buy some Z06 screens to cover it anyway.
Member JohnGlenn has a template (Word Document) that he sent me on drilling out those foglight covers. It took me about 30 mins to 1 hr taking my time. If you want it and instructions I can send you the file, just e-mail me. geoff1750@aol.com
