Default Fuel leak

My C5 took a shot in the driver's door and now I have fuel leaking out from underneath. What are my possibilities? Would appreciate any help I could get.

Has your car been modified to have bigger fuel lines run up through the rocker panel?

When you say... "took a shot in the driver's door" do you mean someone literally shot it with a gun?

The fuel systems on these cars have two tanks, both behind the driver's and passenger's seat, and a crossover tube. Jack it up and start investigating, basically.

Welcome to the forum! Sorry that it is under such poor circumstances.
As others have said, it would have to be one hell of a "shot" to cause a fuel leak. What year is your car. Some of the '04 models have a known fuel leak issue. If you have an '04, the force of the crash might have caused this issue to reveal itself. If this was an accident, you should take it to a reliable shop, and have insurance take care of it. With that said, if I had to guess, I would say the fuel crossover between the two tanks is probably cracked. Good luck, and careful not to catch anything on fire.

As MWWarlord opined, if you have an '04 and the VIN is between 45110258 to 45125500 then these cars were identified as having a fuel line failure (not if but when) unless the PO or dealer previously had the repair done. If the collusion was hard enough, there is the possibility that the impact caused the break whether or not the fuel line between the tanks is an issue. Before the adjuster looks at the car, regardless of the 05 year, I suggest having a reputable mechanic inspect the car to determine the fuel leak cause.

Pop the left rear tire off, and the fuel lines and all become easily visible.

if the car you are speaking of is blue , purchased in Sacramento, it had no fuel leak from the accident
the fuel leak would have occurred after the accident. You will have to remove the left rear fender to repair the rocker panel.
After you repair the car I would like to buy it back
