After having been parked in the garage for awhile, I checked out the car to find a dead battery, which wasn't surprising. It's happened before. I connected a small (3 amp) charger to the battery, and something under the hood started clicking, which is a surprise. It is still "clicking" after two hours. What is it and should I continue charging??  Any help is appreciated!
The only time I've gotten that clicking sound is when I'm connecting or disconnecting the battery posts, when the post is loosely connected. I would check to make sure the posts are properly tightened.
Also, I've hooked a charger to the battery while still connected to the car and never got that clicking.
Thanx, obviously I have some more checking to do. I think that this battery probably needs replacing. But I don't think that has anything to do with this unsual noise. Sounds like a clock, only faster... I haven't heard this before either. If this is a genuine problem, it will be my first with this car. It has been very reliable, great gas mileage, and good numbers at the track. Can't complain.
