Headlight grind
Was told by a local Vette place not to replace with a brass gear set. I have grinding noise for a few moments from the driver side light when turned off. Suggestions? Also if anyone lives near Milwaukee WI that would assist with the fix as I am not very handy. Could be a bottle of scotch in their future

I put brass gears supplied by Rodney Dickman in 12 years ago. Best repair.

brass gears are the only way to go.....dunno why anyone would say otherwise

I just installed Rodney's brass gears in mine with the '97-99 metal case motor assemblies. Huge difference, my gears were warn but not stripped, but I had a torn rubber isolator on the passenger side. They are now quieter, smoother and faster acting than before and both are now in perfect unison. Based on the information on his site, I did not touch the motor sections.
Now not sure about the '00-04 plastic case motor assemblies. Maybe its just better to replace the whole unit?
