Adding HUD to '99 C5?

Adding HUD to '99 C5?
Want to know if anybody has done this or researched the feasibility of doing so? Cost and ease of installation? Appreciate any advise. Looking at buying a '99 and only option that it doesn't have, that I would like, is HUD.

do a search on the forum for HUD install, the HUD upgrade is an easy mod.
the parts for mine cost a little over $300.00 and that includes another cluster!
you '99 should only need the HUD switch, 11 pin wire, HUD projector and HUD bezel. :cheers:

Someone recently posted that their 99 did not have the wiring connector in the dash area for the HUD. Maybe you can find it on search. Is yours an early year vin?

I have really limited myself on available cars, as I want a '99-'00 FRC, white in color, with HUD ( good luck, huh). I just figured that if I found a white FRC, HUD would be easier to add than a FRC with HUD and re-painting it white.

HUD cars do have a different windshield, I have compared my HUD image with an '03 with HUD and there is no difference in the clarity of the image.
so you do not need to change your windshield if you add HUD to a non-HUD car. :cheers:
