HUD 11 pin connector
I have a 2001 and want to install a HUD. My understanding is that all I need is the projector, switch and the bezel for the dash. The switch that came with my car is only a dimmer and is only a 5 pin connector and the 11 pin connector for my year car is there but I have to look for it once I take off the dash? Is this info correct? Also, just to be clear: my instrument cluster has the plug in for the HUD therefore I do not need a new cluster? My last question: the projector connects to the cluster via a harness which comes with the projector? Thanks for your help!!

Is this info correct? NO.... all non HUD cars have only the 5 pin harness, you need to swap the 5 pin for an 11 pin haness, these are available in the parts section from "pacethis"......

THank you for the reply. I dont know what "pacethis" means? I tried it as a web site, but could not find it. Please let me know. It is going to cost me $700 total(labor included) for the HUD conversion. In your opinion, is it worth the money and hasle? Sometimes you start messing with things and it becomes a nightmare. Thanks again.

700.00 installed parts and labor sounds like an OK price. Have you done a search on the forum on HUD instals? there are lots of threads of people doing instalations ect. Lots of info on the HUD here....
