Default Does My C5 have "Active Hanling"?

I'm not sure. I thought it did since I can set it to go into "Competition Mode" which, if I understand correctly, activates Active Handing but deactivates Traction Control. Would it go into this mode if it did NOT have Active Handling? I'm suspicious because I never see message "Active Handling System Charging Up" or any other indications or warnings regarding the system.

It is a 2000 and has the Z51 package. I've only had this car a little over a week and I'm still trying to figure out what all it has. No information sticker in the glove box. No build sheet readily available.

How else can I tell?

Thanks

Some of the older cars had that sticker on one of the small lids for the cubby holes in the trunk

Thanks. Just checked the storage compartment lids- no dice. It looks like there *was* a sticker in the glove box but it is faded and deteriorated beyond legibility.

Corvette Museum in Kentucky (about an hour from me) told me they can get me an original build sheet but I gotta call a specific person. Going to do that tomorrow.

Or take the front bumper cover off your build sheet is in the left side of the frame
Does your EBCM have a M or a V on it?

I have a 99, the RPO code sticker is on the inside of the glove compartment door. I believe the competition mode was an option in the early years,up to 2000, then it was standard. RPO code JL4, mine does not have it.

Spoke to Brian Klein at the Corvette Museum. He was super helpful.

They make original build sheets and window stickers available for a charge. I ordered both (with lamination) for $105. They should arrive in a few weeks. He will also forward the digital copies via email.

Pretty cool.

It would not have that mode if it didn't have AH.

Got my build sheet and window sticker copies today. Window sticker confirms it has Active Handling (a $500 option in 2000). Just seems odd that I have not yet seen any evidence of it either working or warning messages or "Warming Up" or "Service Active Handling System" messages. I guess it is working. I don't drive it hard and I haven't been in any situations yet where it might come on. I'll just assume it is working.

Park with the wheels turned on a cold night and see if you get the warming up msg

I've had my 03 going on 4 years and I have seen that message maybe 3 times. If I recall it happened when it had sat for a while and I made a couple immediate sharp turns twisting through a parking lot. It kind of freaked me out the first time .
