Hi I was curious does Anyone have any experience with the carbon fiber drive shafts that eliminate that couplers. I mainly street drive mine but looking to put some more power in it so want to do it right from the start. I have a 2004 ce zo6. It has 80 thou miles and I get slight vibration under acceleration at like 60 to 80. Thanks
Does your torque tube make noise idling in neutral then shut up when you push the clutch in and it stops spinning? That'll tell you if the bearings are shot, but not the couplers. Is it RPM specific too or not?
It doesn't make noise at idle clutch in or out. But I get a werid vibration at 60 to 75 mph doesn't matter what gear I'm in. I thought it was tire out of balance but it feels like it is in the car more then tire. That's why I was thinking the couplers were going bad. But not sure thank you

Torque tube spins at engine RPM, vehicle speed won't affect a vibration from it. You sure you don't have a bent rim?
I just bought the car few weeks back it has 82 thousand miles on it. It's a zo6 ce car. I have appointment this weekend for balancing and check out the wheels
Really rear tie rods cause that. Are they flopping back and forth type thing. Thanks
They kind of get cooked back there and die. My car had a pulse above 65 and I chased it for months and eventually by upgrading to spherical ( not knowing it was the fix) in the rear mine went away.
Thanks yes it weird feeling in car. Definitely going to look into the read tie rods for sure. Like the idea of upgrading to spherical rod ends to. Thank you

I have had one on mine for 10 years now with no trouble Of hard track driving with my car tuned at 510rwhp to stay in my class.

The front and rear rods are the only thing that's ever been changed on my suspension. Rear rods were noticeably bad. Went bad at around 90,000 miles. Fronts not so much, but done because I figured they'd be next. Believe it or not, I have 133,000 miles on my F45 mag ride shocks, and never have had any leaks or codes. Car doesn't bounce on bumps, and everything is good to go. I agree with posts that rear rods will cause that. I still have my original torque tube and cushions intact. Maybe the A4 is easier on them than the 6 speeds, idk...
