Default 1998 Door lock issue

So first of all, we have key fobs, but already had diagnosed that the remote module needs replaced. So we enter the vehicle by unlocking just with a key currently. The problem is, sometimes we’ll put the key in and can’t get it to turn and unlock until we’ve fooled with it for a while. Yes the power locks still work from the inside. However, we’ve learned that we have a much harder time unlocking from the outside if we’ve locked using the power locks when exiting the vehicle. So we just manually flip the lock to lock from the inside. I suspect the door lock actuator needs replaced.

So 2 questions:
1. Do you agree it’s an issue with the actuator?
2. As for a replacement part, why do I see some that are $30 and some that are $300 and everything in between? Are only certain ones compatible with keyless entry (whenever I get that module replaced)
3. Recommendations on part numbers/brands if you have any.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Maybe before replacing anything, squirt some CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner into the key lock (a regular yearly maintence for me). If that does not work, then WD40.
