Can somebody tell me what all internals are forged on an LS6? And are the forged internals in an LS6 interchangeable with an LS1?

I was told that after October 2002, the LS6 had a forged crank. I can't verify, but maybe a parts guy can. Is Fichtner on the board? I ran a 150 shot with no problems on my HC LS6. I lit it at 3500 and turned it off at 6000. No launches under spray.
None of the rotating assembly is forged. The cranks are very strong though good for up to 750hp. The pistons (hyper) and rods (powder) suck. But there are many on this forum who run lots of N0S.
IT is true that the LS1 after mid 2001 have LS6 blocks so one could really say that they are all LS6 blocks (there is no difference in blocks anylonger) except for the heads. Which LS6 heads have smaller chambers and a "D" Shaped Exhaust Port and Sodium Valves (BFD).

All LS1’ & 6 crank & rods are listed as the same part number. The source of this info is Tom @ Fichtner Chevy.
There was a rod bolt upgrade around model year 2000.
Great information with link..."sintered" is different then what most consider forged. It is much different, the stock rods are made of powder that is heated and pressed they are not FORGED like after market cranks, rods (lunati, manley) or pistons. The stock rods are good for 450hp. The rods I have that are forged are good for 1350hp. A regular set of forged rods are good for 650hp.
I recc. you upgrade rods & pistons for NOS those pistons are not designed for NOS. The factory rod bolts are junk repl. rods H BEAM & FORGED PISTON. I have a set of eagle H beam I'm going to post new 560.00 hplum@erols.com
