Default C5 wheel setup

Upgrading my C5 FRC to 18/19 setup. All 4 tires, all 4 rims. ESR01 W/ Falken Fk510 (My favorite tires so far for this car, love sliding on these and want front and rear tread to match)

However I need assistance with the fitment specifics.

I‘m looking for a setup which won’t rub and will noticeably reduce space between the wheel and wheel hub. Ideally want to run 295 in the rear

Other Questions:

1) What is the correct rim width for 295 rear?
2) correct rim offsets?

Could I also *temporarily* run bigger rears with stock front sz? 245/45/17 Front, 295/35/19 rear. Just for a week or two while the front part of the setup is on its way here. Or will the tc think I’m spinning and go crazy?

My rear tires are shot and I’m not tryna throw new tires on these rims.

Fit is very subjective. I would not run a 295 on anything less than 11" wide.

Curious as to your reasoning. Aesthetics? GM put 295s on the C5Z06 10.5" wide wheels.

FK510 doesn't come in a 295/35/19, but they do have a 295/30/19 which is equivalent in dimensions to the factory C5Z size 295/35/18.

I recently swapped out FK510 on my C5Z, in 285/35/18 & 255/40/17. I ran FK452/453/510 on all my cars (AWD Audis), but I really didn't like them on my C5Z. So far the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 have been noticeably better, running them on C6 base wheels with 255/40/18 & 285/35/19.

To each their own, it seems. I'm curious how you feel about the factory 18x10.5 with 295, or C6 base wheels 19x10 with 285. Falken specs out a 10.5" width for their 295/30/19.

Just want slightly more grip, feel 275 rears are a bit too narrow for this car.

Just realized you were replying to the comment above, haha. Tell me a bit about offset if you can friend, I don’t know too much about it. How does it affect how the car drives?

Both aesthetics and handling. I cant stand the look of a pinched tire. Tires with a little bit of stretch in them feel better on track too. Again, as I said, its subjective.

I have 285s on my OE 18x10.5 wheels and its a pretty good fit.

What you can afford and whats available also play big roles in tire size.
