foot panel

My foot panel (not sure what to call it) is falling down on the front, has two christmas tree clips on the back. I think there is a bracket missing that a 3rd (?) christmas tree clip should go into near the brake switch. Or is it supposed to flop around and hit my toes? Does it go on that little boss hanging from the brake switch?

It's known as a hush panel and it's held up in 3 places. Two plastic plugs hold the front and the rear is held up by a nut that just presses on

Here's the panel and the 3 points

The front plastic plugs slide into the metal frame held up by friction. They may be too chewed up which is why they're not staying in place.

Here's a pic I too of my rear post.

You can see that it's held up by a thin metal nut that slides up the stud and is also held in place by friction.

Ah ha! I am only missing the nut then! I can probably put a zip tie on it

I thought there should be another christmas tree on the front but couldn’t figure out what it would go into!

If you’ve ever tried to get off the speed nut in the back, I know you had 3-5 beers in the process. 😂
