Fuel weight
Can someone please give me the weight of one gallon, in pounds, of premium gas.

7.5 lbs per gallon if I remember correctly. EDIT: looks like I dont know what I am talking about!! :crazy:

:iagree: 6.1 lb/gallon is what I use when computing weight and balance on the airplane. My other car is a C-182 :)

as a pilot I use 6.0 per gallon for 100LL fuel :auto:

:cheers: you are so right,but I asked a few other pilots about fuel weight & was informed it could range from 5.8 to 6.2 depending on temperature. so we use 6.0 because it is closer than womens answers :smash:

So the C5 can hold nearly 110lbs of fuel...while my Expedition can holdover 180lbs.
But I prefer my ladies in the 105-125 weight class :D (even if they's lyin')

And didn't I read somewhere where 100 lbs of weight is equivalent to 10 HP (performance wise)?
