Default hood buldge driver side

Hey recently took my car to a body shop to correct a hood to fender overlap. And they were able to fix the gap from the fender to hood so it would no longer overlap and rub however, they were not able to fix the hood buldge. They claimed the hood must be warped due to a previous accident.. they also had to pull the front bash bar an inch to square out the car. Any ideas on what could cause this? Can fiberglass hoods warp from an accident? The passenger side looks good with no buldge.
I appreciate any help!

are you referring to the hood bump stops? The shop already messed with the hood latches to get the hood to fender gap spaced out better.

Yep, an accident can play havoc on all sort of thing.

You were in a front end collision which means that lots of kinetic energy was instantaneously dispersed and absorbed. One really has no idea what was effected in the hit on the car. The fact that bash bar had to be moved an inch (a lot but doable) tells me you had a good schwack.

To check your hood, remove the hood and place it on a smooth, level surface. If the four points touch with uniformity, your hood is good and you have another issue. If the hood touches in 3 places and rocks, you hood is warped (damaged) and needs repair. Buying and painting a new one might be easier.

If your hood is good, do some checking on the fender as that may have drooped a bit from the hit. In one photo is look like the corner of the hood is damaged and the front nose cone is missing along with the head light cover? That kind of hit will warp a hood.

If the car was in a front end collision, then the hood is probably bent.

I did remove the front bumper and headlight cover flew off while driving lol. The carfax showed severe structural damage to the right passenger side of the vehicle where the frame was pulled (radiator support bolt holes also didnt line up) so wouldn’t the warp happen on that side?

Check that when it latches the latch and hinge and not too close together which could push the center up. Even if they seem to, possibly move the latch back even more and try it again.

It might have warped if it was pushed back at the front corner popping the center up and then left like that for some time. SMC doesn't bend when it takes a hit, it gives until it can't anymore then it starts to break.
