I have been struggling with a headlight that does not always pop up. The issue is intermittent and when it does not pop up I manually adjust it up and it then will work for a little bit until it happens again. The motor does not grind or make any other kinds of noises. I sourced a used headlight control module hoping that would fix the problem. I installed the new module and still have the same issue. It is only the passenger side headlight that has this issue. When it is not popping up the headlight is on but in the down position. Anyone run into this issue?

Thank You!
Same, every once in a while my right headlight won't go up. Most of the time it works but the motor spins for a few seconds when it goes down. I tried to adjust but the **** just turns its not engaged. The motor box is loose from the gear box so sooner or later it will quit all together. Being a 2002 I understand the gear box is glued together. Mine has the nuts holding the gear box cover on. Is that unusual?
Try disconnecting the connector between the headlight motor and Actuator Control Module and make sure all the connectors are tight. My passenger headlight motor was replaced and shortly after it started occasionally not going up. I cleaned the connections and made sure they were tight and have had no further issues.
I had the exact problem with my 01 Z06, passenger side light would not come up. I did the quarter turn clockwise & so far so good. THANK YOU... RAULSANCH.....
My turn **** just spins but the pop up usually works. Why would I have the bolts on the gear box vs glued on a 2002? Isn't that year supposed to have gear box glued together? Is that the onky difference?
I have a 99 coupe that experiences the same issue. Lots of good info elsewhere in the forum on things to look for. For me it usually ends up being the bump stops being worn with a big divot and allowing the linkage to travel too far and bind up. It happens pretty quick because I drive mine quite often at night so I keep a bag of them just in case. Link to product just to show you the part.
