I have been reading posts on this forum everyday since October, and have received and read a lot of excellent advice. I have chosen the folowing mods for my 2000 FRC, and would like to hear how much rwhp members think I will gain. Maybe someone has done similar mods and could share the gains they made: Thunder racing cam 220/220 114 with valve train upgrade, TPIS full length headers, LS6 intake, under-drive pulley, ported throttle-body, LS1 edit dyno-tuning and Donaldson air filter. I have ruled out heads because of budget. My car is currently bone stock.
I'd say that would get you about 65 rwhp. With just headers and a Blackwing, I dyno'd 336 rwhp on my MN6. That's with 4.10 gears, which from what I understand, takes away rwhp on the dyno. When money permits, I'd like to add a cam and tuning. Good luck...that should be a really nice, fast ride!

I don't know what rear-end gears come in a FRC, but I would at least increase them to Z06 specs.

The FRC gets the 3:42 rear end gear just as the rest of the c5's that are equipped with the 6-speed tranny. Where the ZO6 does have an advantage and what I think you are referring to is the transmission gearing not the rear end. :chevy
