If you do that and the traction show up it's time to add load resistor to taillights if they don't have resistor
I followed your lead tonight and installed the Sylvania resistor to my 3rd brake wires
I mounted mine by unbolting the large nut on the metal strip that runs up the back of the body above the bumper
I ran a metal key ring through resistor mounting hole and put the ring behind the large nut. This is forcing the resistor to only be touching the metal strip which should be fine for the heat it will give off.
I haven't driven the car yet but this resistor mod will likely resolve the c1295 as it did for you
