Default Active steering and traction handling

Hey2004 Corvette Drove the car all day yesterday and today. Went about 400+ miles. Way home today it went into reduced engine power mode saying service traction control and active steering
found how to get the codes and reset them. Rest of the highway no issue. Shut it off, picked up the dog, issues the rest of the way home

Pulled the codes.
c1278
P1125
P2126

So (not 100% sure) blower motor stopped working on the way home. Digital display is out so I not 100% convinced

The car has the ignition lock problem a couple weeks ago, installed the lmc5 for it. No issue since.
The previous owner appears to have installed a smaller battery in it
Batter voltage on gage reads about 13.4-13.6

I'll hook my big scanner to it once it chargers and see what I can see
Any thing I should look at before I get to far into it. Seems odd to have pedal throttle body and a handling code all in there, wondering if they aren't related.

Multiple failures are often the ignition switch. If the blower also quits, suspect the ignition switch.

They are related. The C1278 is saying that traction control is inhibited by PCM. This is beacuse the other 2 codes are accelerator pedal position system, P1125 and throttle pedal position sensor, P2126. If your scanner can look at the pedal position sensors you can check if they are proper.

I'll check it out. should be able to read all those.
Yestersy it was fine, no codes or issues all-day. Today it had an issue on the way home. But only for the the active handling and traction control, no other codes.

Yesterday it gave me a active handling warming up message which was new.

I did notice yesterday voltage running at 14.1 vs when I had the issue as well.

Interesting all in all.

Any one have a good picture of where to disconnect the swps so I can get it out of reduced power mode if it comes to it? If I need to remove panels id like to do that before heading out.

You might need to remove the knee bolster panel, not totally sure because mine is already off.

Here's a picture of the SWPS location on the steering column... The connector's clip is on the back-side of the connector from where you will see it.

SWPS is all the way at the base of the steering column, behind the pedals, and against the firewall.

Be advised that the '97-'00 C5 SWPS hasn't been produced since 2012, and there are 2 types, one for A/H, one is non A/H. The '97 and '98 SWPS will work on only the '97-'98 models, and the '99-'00 SWPS will work on only the '99-'00 models. The '01-up is totally different, and will not work on any of the earlier C5s. I believe the type "M" is for non A/H and type "V" is for A/H only, if I remember correctly. Obviously, the OP needs one for the A/H. Finding a good used one isn't easy. Some places have waiting lists. Try Dino's, Marc@Vettenuts, C&S Corvettes, etc. Make sure whoever has one guarantees it, and they have it centered.

In the 1st post, OP mentioned it's a 2004.

Thanks!
It hasn't popped up for a few days. Wondering if maybe the sensor had some corrosion that's starting to wear through. 🤷 Appreciate the quick feedback

Don't think the swps will cause reduced engine power mode. When you first start driving the car if you aren't going straight or you turn the wheel when you start out, the message active handling warming up might occur. It will go away after driving in a straight line. Just turn the active handling off with the switch on the console if you don't want it on.

I drive all the time with my steering wheel position sensor unplugged and it has never gone into reduced engine power mode.

Also, you dont need to remove anything, just reach your hand up and unplug it,
