Mystery Battery drain???
Hey Gang,
Every four years or so I replace my Battery on my C5 - it just dies for no reason. Three weeks ago I put in a new Premium HD battery. This last Wednesday I went to Nashville for Easter with my grand kids. I came home Saturday and the Vette was DEAD!!!! I know there must be a monster drain - do you have any suggestions where it might be or how I can check it. Thx Soooo much Max

In order to measure battery drain you have to connect a DVM set up to measure DC current and connect it in series with the negative battery terminal and negative battery cable. Close all doors and bring hood down without latching it so you can run meter leads out. After 20 minutes the meter should read 20-25 milli amps, that is normal sleep mode current draw. Verify acceptable current drain before so you don't have to perform needless further testing.
