JHrinsin, the motor is completely stock and I do not believe there is an underdrive pulley.

Linolhutz Romandian, I can see that. What I have noticed in the 1 week with my new radiator and fan set up is the operating temperature window has now greatly condensed. Instead of operating between 199-225, it now operates between 198-208. When it hits 208, I am stationary , at an idle, and I can hear the fan(s) are on, even over the rumble of the exhaust and the temp will not climb above 208 ( 78 F outside temp ) no matter how long I am stationary. And with the realization the auto trans cooler tube is in side the right side tank, bringing extra heat, I may just have to live with what I have. I have yet to install the foam padding between the cowl and the condenser. I don't think that will make much of a difference, but it is the way the vehicle was built.
I addition, yesterday, I received the 180 tstat in the mail so Sunday morning I will be installing that and I will report on the results .

I really do appreciate everyone's input as I have learned so much and hopefully I will be able to serve other Corvette owners in the future. What a great community.

OK, results. I have just installed a 180 tstat. and I am getting the results I wanted. When cruising either in D or 3rd , the eng temp is 190. Outside temp is 83. When I launch from a traffic light it will climb to 192, then in a few minutes will reduce to 190. If I am at the traffic light long enough it will raise to 198,200. Once it went to 203 and the fan kicked on and in less than 60 seconds, it was at 198. a week ago I had the fans recalibrated to kick on at 203 and 208 respectively.

But after all this time chasing an operating temp in the 190's, I finally got what I wanted.

Thanks everyone for all your help and input.
