Bought my 97 10 days ago. At the time, I had the hyper flash on the right turn signal. A couple of days later, before I could check bulbs, it started acting normal. The, a couple of days later, I returned. The next day, the left turn started hyper flashing. I already replaced the hazard switch, and there are no LEDs on the car yet. Also, the hazards work normal. I replaced the hazard switch, as well as all of the bulbs.
I have been looking to replace the MFC as the next step, but it is discontinued, and all local and online sellers show as out of stock.
Ideas?
I know when I recently put LED's on my car, most of the connectors were pretty dirty and a couple had some moisture. I would go one by one and check the bulb and connectors. Make sure they are clean and of course check your grounds.
My '99 randomly hyperflashed just because for quite a while. Then it stopped lighting the brake lights (except for the third eye). Replaced the flasher (Fun Fun!) and cured both problems at once.
Try cycling the hazard switch a dozen or so times, and see if it makes any difference. It may or may not, but I'm betting you need to pull the dash...
Crap. I hate when I'm guilty of failing to read the original mission statement.
