Default Magnesium Wheel Owners

After looking for a good while, I recently picked up a decent set of magnesium wheels. I do believe they were refinished at some point. They are currently a high gloss, the gold looks similar to photos I have seen online.

I’m curious is the factory finish matte, satin or gloss?

Does anyone know the paint code or name of the golden color used? I got some silver nut caps off eBay and am wanting to paint them gold to match the wheel color.

The magnesium wheels don’t use specific lug nuts do they?

Thanks!

Gloss Finish.
Same plastic grey/silver lug nut covers as the others. No special lug nuts that I know of. Normal taper seat nuts. My car came from the factory with these.

There is a yellow "Magnesium" label on them from the factory. I doubt someone would go through the hassle if they were refinished to apply that label. This was a $3k option in 1998. Highly desirable IMO. I think these are one of the best options on these cars, Z51 and memory being my other favorites. If you are swapping tires, check how light these wheels are. Amazing...

I refinished the lips on mine with Duplicolor's "Desert Sand". Matches the rest of the wheel perfectly under new clear-coat.

Do you have a link to "Desert Sand"?

I found from other threads a mention of "light sand drift" from duplicolor.

All I could find from duplicolor is

Light Driftwood Metallic: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/shw-bgm0457
Light Drift Sand Metallic: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/shw-bgm0482

Thanks!
